I wanted to post some pictures of today's fun in the snow.
We tried to build a snowman, but the snow just wasn't working the way the boys wanted it to. So, daddy to the rescue! Jacob suggested they build a snow fort and then have snow ball fights. The boys LOVED that idea. Here, the boys are adding snow to the snow fort.
Jacob, who has been shoveling snow for the past two days, decided to use the snow shovel to help make the fort's progress a little faster.
The finished fort -- Logan is showing me how you are supposed to duck behind it when some one throws a snow ball at you.
The icicle Alex used as a sword to guard the snow fort from his daddy. LOL

Jacob was throwing snow balls and Alex wasn't ready. Alex got mad and got right in Jacob's face to talk to him about it. It was pretty funny.
Logan walking through our yard -- the snow still goes up to his knees.
Logan fell in the snow and was covered -- it was even on his face. He was NOT happy about it!
Ready for sledding. All of the neighborhood kids have been sliding down this hill with snowboards and anything they can find to use as a sled. You can see where all the kids have slid down the hill -- all the snow is gone and it's just icy grass.

Logan being silly -- I thought this was funny
Tomorrow is snow day #4 -- I'm sure there will be more pictures and more winter fun, especially since I can't get my car out of the driveway and therefore we will be here again tomorrow!
You guys will always remember this snowfall and the Christmas Blizzard '09. Or maybe it will all blur into one big snowstorm. The boys look really cute and it's nice Alex keeps his daddy in line! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love all of the pictures. Even if I hate snow at this moment, the pictures of the boys in the snow are super cute and almost makes me want to rethink my hatred of snow!
