I have always loved baseball. I can remember playing baseball with my brother and my friends when we were little. My parents have this small field near their house and I remember my brother and me spending hours out there--one of us would pitch and the other one would hit. We loved it! I remember watching my brother play baseball and cheering him on with my parents. We also played the Little League Nintendo game all the time--especially in the afternoons when it seemed to hot to actually go outside and play baseball. For some reason, I have always loved baseball. I have very fond memories of staying with my grandparents when I was little and watching baseball games on TV with my Grandpa Jack. He loved baseball and it was fun to watch the games with him--sitting beside him eating ice cream or drinking lemonade. I really enjoyed that.
Now, I'm an adult and have two little boys who love baseball. They will watch games with Jacob and me--Alex always wants to watch the batters and pitchers. He told us last night he wants to bat and pitch some day. The boys also love to play baseball. We have played baseball with them many times, but the boys didn't have gloves. Now that Jacob has surprised them with baseball gloves they want to go out and play every day. Alex is all about pitching these days. He loves it. Jacob made a pitching board for him to practice throwing his pitches. It is so fun to watch them play and enjoy the sport as much as I did when I was little--and still do. It's even more fun to play with them, though. In honor of our love of baseball I thought I'd share some pictures of the boys playing baseball. I'm glad they love it as much as I did as a child!
Jacob helping Logan hold the bat and stand correctly. He tried pitching to him but ended up getting the tee for Logan to use.
Alex batting--he hit the ball pretty far and was very proud of himself.
